SF new cocktail menus

I love that every new restaurant comes with a new cocktail menu to try out. Here are three of them that just have or are just about to open, with their full drink menus listed after the jump.

Miss Pearl's Jamhouse. The restaurant once located at the Phoenix Hotel (now Bambuddah Lounge, previously Backflip) will reopen in Jack London Square in Oakland in mid-August. The menu is rum, rum, and more rum in fun tropical drinks like the Bushwacker, Pusser's Painkiller, and even Jell-O shots.

Zare at Fly Trap. The classic restaurant has reopened with food that "reflects the culinary traditions of Spain, Greece, Italy and Zaré’s native Iran." Reza Esmali's cocktail menu does too- it's half "Barbary Coast Era" classics like the Martinez and Trader Vic' Original Mai Tai, and half "Mediterranean Style" drinks that include ingredients like figs, cardamom, and pistachio. I have a really good feeling about these drinks.

Urban Tavern. The small selection of cocktails at this place are mainly vodka, gin, and sparkling/still wine-based. But then they stick a Sazerac at the end to make you go: Huh? It seems a bit unfocused to me but I'll reserve judgment until I try them out.

          Alto de Carmen Pisco, fresh lemon juice, pasteurized eggs whites, well-shaken and served up and topped with a few drops of Angostura bitters



          Cruzan Mango Rum ~

~, Cointreau, mango puree, coconut cream, orange juice, orange bitters, shaken and served up


Spiced Pear Caipirini

       Leblon Cachaca, poire liquor, fresh lime juice, pear puree, mashed ginger, and finished with fresh ground nutmeg





       Sauza Hornitos Reposado Tequila infused with dry-roasted peppers and citrus, fresh lime juice, agave syrup, shaken and served up with

“Local-Style” salted rim


Key lime Martini

       Hanger One Kaffir Lime Vodka~Alameda, Ca.~, Liqor 43, key lime juice, a bit of lite cream, shaken and served up, topped with a brulee’d meringue




          Fresh blended strawberry daiquiri & pina colada made with Cruzan Light Rum~

Old Cuban

          Montecristo 12yr~Guatamala~, fresh lime juice, Falernum syrup, muddled mint, Angostura bitters, shaken and served up then finished with house Champagne



Mulatto Cubano

       Cruzan Coconut Rum~St. Croix~, Licor 43, crème de cacao, evaporated milk, served tall and topped with Coca Cola


Carribbean Mule

       Wray & Nephew rum~

~, fresh lime juice, Falernum syrup, ginger puree, shaken and served on the rocks, topped with ginger ale






       Cruzan Estate Dark Rum~St. Croix~, Kahlua, dark crème de cocoa, coconut cream, milk blended together and served with a chocolate cigar.


Rum Runner

       Flor de Cana White Rum~Nicaragua~, blackberry brandy, banana liquor, fresh orange juice, fresh lime juice, pineapple juice, grenadine syrup, and a float of Meyers dark rum.  (On the rocks served tall, or blended)


Pusser’s Painkiller

       Pusser’s Navy rum~British Virgin Islands~, coconut cream, pineapple juice, fresh orange juice, served on the rocks and generous amount of fresh nutmeg on top


“Jello Shot”

       Made with Cruzan Light Rum~

Woodford Reserve bourbon, muddled fresh mint, Falernum syrup, Angostura and Mint bitters served over crushed ice
