Whisky week in SF

The folks at Malt Advocate's WhiskyFest sent me a list of some of the events happening in San Francisco leading up to the big party on October 10th. These events should be considered tentative at this point, but I think it's safe to say if you're a whisky freak, you should just clear your calendar for the entire week.

Battle of the Independent Bottlers (Signatory and Gordon & MacPhail) sponsored by K&L Wine
Come and join Ed Kohl with Signatory and Michael Urquhart with Gordon & MacPhail for the Single Malt Battle Of 2008!  This is a great opportunity to taste and compare single malts from four different regions of Scotland.  This tasting will of course include K & L Wine & Spirits’ two exclusive casks! Compass Box dinner at the Paragon
Join Compass Box Founder John Glaser for an evening of Whisky and Food pairings at the Paragon Restaurant in San Francisco.  Chef Spencer O’Meara has prepared a 3-course dinner to complement the Compass Box portfolio.  They will also be debuting the US release of Hedonism Maximus and The Peat Monster Reserve Magnum.
