Who Should Prep: Bar vs Kitchen?

In a recent story in FSR Magazine, I wrote about prep work/mise en place at the bar and specifically about who should be doing it- the kitchen or the bar staff. 

I learned a lot in writing the story (I was thinking that bartenders should offload a lot to the kitchen; most bartenders disagreed) and heard about many different systems through which the front and back of house collaborate for efficiency and use of space.
