In the new issue of Whisky Advocate, I have a mega 5-page feature on whisky distilled from bottle-ready beer.
They don't put the magazine stories online for some reason, so you'll have to go subscribe to the magazine to read it. You should anyway because the magazine is awesome.
I interviewed a million billion people for the story and included whiskies made from commercial beers including Sierra Nevada, Anchorsteam, Rogue, and Mikkeller by distillers such as:
- St. George Spirits
- Anchor Distilling
- Seven Stills of SF
- CH Distillery
- Berkshire Mountain Distillery
- B-C-W (Peak Spirits)
- Boston Harbor Distillery
- Sons of Liberty
- Great Lakes Distillery
- New Holland Brewing
- pur Spirits
I also have a feature on the weird peat used at Lost Spirits Distillery, but I may write up another blog post on that later. But two stories from Camper English? #hellyeah
So run screaming to your local newsstand if they have those anymore, or better yet subscribe to Whisky Advocate to read the features.
