Alcademics.com is a website about booze- mostly spirits, but you'll find some beer, wine, sake, and other beverage information here too. I used to have a blog called Cocktails with Camper on my personal website, but it was successful enough that I decided to rebrand it as its own website. It's all about branding, yo.

Camper English

Hi, my name is Camper English. It's a weird name but you'll get over it. I'm a freelance writer specializing in cocktails and spirits. I'm located in San Francisco where I contribute to the San Francisco Chronicle and San Francisco Magazine. I also write for national publications including Imbibe, Stuff, Out, and Wine & Spirits. I wrote the fabulous book Party Like a Rock Star: Even When You're Poor As Dirt.

Here are some services I provide:

• Custom Cocktails- Throwing a party or having a wedding? I can create a cocktail just for you that will match the season, theme, holiday, colors, and flavors of your event.
• Mixing Lessons- Want to learn to muddle your own mojitos or shake up sidecars at home, for a work event, or bachelorette party? Learn to muddle, shake (or stir), and garnish. I'll train you and your guests at events built around martinis, mojitos, infusions, pink drinks- you name it.
• Writing and editing- I'm a better writer than bartender. I've written for consumer publications and marketing agencies alike. In my career I've covered politics, travel, environmental causes, lifestyle, electronics, movies, health and fitness, tons of trends, and of course, alcohol.
