Out of the Bathtub and Into the Kitchen

Gourmet.com has a recipe for making gin out of vodka by infusing it with herbs and berries. I can't wait to try it.
I also think this would make an excellent gift for the gin lover in your life: Hand him or her a bottle of vodka to make them squirm, then in the card that comes with it have all the herbs and the recipe in the envelope. Tee hee!
Camper,
I tried this at work and it came out horribly of course I didn't EXACTLY follow the directions. I let it sit too long because I got busy. There are definitely some things that I'd do differently like tone down the citrus and lavender. I split the batch into two and threw some cucumber into one and that made it slightly better. Let me know how yours comes out.

I'm not a fan of lavender (smells like grandma) so good to know I can leave it out.

Jeffrey Morgenthaler did one of these a while back:

i made a citrus-heavy gin which works well in sours recipes, and a clove-forward gin which is great for heavy wintry drinks.
