The San Francisco Hailstorm Cocktail

Hailcocktail2

We had a sudden and wild hailstorm in San Francisco Today. We all know that special occasions call for special cocktails, so I made one and served it in a glass full of hail.

San Francisco Hailstorm

3 ounces bourbon (Old Crow Reserve)

1/2 ounce sweet vermouth (Martini & Rossi)

1/2 ounce Trader Tiki's Don's Mix syrup

Shake all ingredients over ice and strain into a glass filled with hail.

i thought about making a hail cocktail myself, but all the bits of dirt and grime therein made me think twice.

if i'm not mistaken, is that a small piece of leaf in the second pic? eh, what's it matter. garnish, right?

Camper English

You're right, it's totally dirt. I was wondering when someone would call that out :) Next time it hails I'm putting out bowls instead of scraping it off the steps.

Beachbum Berry

Brilliant! Much better drink than the juleps I've been making with snow.....

Doug Ford

Very amusing, and very quick thinking.

Camper, that is ridiculous and amazing. Well done!

I am in awe... brilliant taming of nature and I love the look! It's like a mad tapioca.
