I have read your blog for quite a while now and read many books you have recommended, so thank you for that. I run a gin bar and have constructed in depth training sessions on the history of gin, which I can of course recommend.

Here's one I don't see on your list that i thought was really well done: http://www.amazon.com/Kings-County-Distillery-Guide-Moonshining/dp/1419709909/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1389044618&sr=1-1&keywords=urban+moonshining
It has a great overview of American whiskey brands and history, with extra detail about past distilling in NYC, well written and personalized.
