What to Serve When you Don't Serve Fireball
January 05, 2016
Fireball is a somewhat hot, super-sweet, cinnamon-flavored whiskey that went from sales of 2 million in 2011 to 130 million in 2014.
The young party people love it, but many cocktail bars don't deign to carry it. But because of its popularity, they can't just say no: they offer an alternative.
That's what I wrote about in a recent story for Liquor.com. I asked several bartenders what they serve instead. Their answers ranged from other cinnamon spirits to homemade versions. One bar owner revealed a clever way he uses it to move through stale inventory.
