Tickets and Schedule Info for the California Rum Festival August 26-27 in San Francisco

For two days in August liquid gold will flow as San Francisco hosts The Second Annual California Rum Festival. The two day rum extravaganza will take place August 26-27 at SOMArts Cultural Center, 934 Brannan Street and will include events, seminars, and tasting rooms featuring rum luminaries from around the world.

The event will benefit the Operation Helping People (O.H.P.) Foundation, a group focused on youth mentoring in the Bay Area.

• Trade Industry Only Event, Friday, August 26, 2-4 p.m.

• Rum Aficionado Grand Tasting, General Admission, Friday, August 26, 5-9 p.m.

• Rum Bazaar, General Admission, Saturday, August 27, 1-6 p.m.

• Over 60+ expressions of rums

• Six different Rhum Agricole producers   

• Tiki time--Tiki Drinks served all day on Saturday--Mai Tai, Piña Coladas, Jungle Birds, Navy Grogs, Pain Killers, Zombies, Nui Nui, Rum Punch, and many more

• The Rum Bazaar consists of a five hour event featuring tropical rum cocktails created by some of SF’s best bartenders, arts & crafts by local vendors and live music on Saturday, August 27, 1-6 p.m.

• "The  Multi Origin Rum Category", Beginning with Banks 5 Island, multi-origin rums have made a comeback in the category.  Jim Meehan will introduce their roots, survey the major players and suggest applications, Rum Bazaar event, Saturday, August 27, 2:20-3:00 p.m.

The Second Annual California Rum Festival will continue this great tradition, aiming to be the West Coast’s Official Rum Expo.
